The program, which covers more than 141 points of sale throughout the country, focuses on certifying riding instructors to ensure proper delivery and guidance to customers upon receiving their motorcycles. Dealers play a key role in marketing and, therefore, in the dissemination of these safety practices. Instructors are trained under Honda’s global standards in safety, protective equipment and preventive inspection of motorcycles. Training includes both theory and practice, with exercises on maneuvers, slalom techniques, balance and braking.
Martín Montenegro, the company’s driving instructor, said: “Visiting dealerships is essential to transmit first-hand the message of responsible driving. It is an opportunity for users to ask questions in a safe environment and receive answers in accordance with Honda Safety guidelines.”
In addition to dealer training, Honda carries out various road safety activities. These include talks in schools to promote helmet use, respect for traffic rules, and alcohol- and drug-free driving. It also conducts driving courses for public bodies, security forces, and companies. In 2023, Honda trained more than 10,000 people, and in the first half of 2024, it has carried out:
