In fact, the race regulations, developed in collaboration with the FMI, require that the RS 660 Extrema machines be exactly as they come off the assembly line. The riders therefore raced RS 660 Extrema bikes in original configuration and with the ABS system normally active.
The result was an exciting race that began with an entertaining Le Mans-style start, where the riders squeezed out all the power of the Noale mid-size sports bike in the Extrema version, the sportiest and lightest in the range. In terms of dry weight, 166 kg with 100 hp, fitted for the occasion with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC1 tyres.
The duo formed by Miguel Oliveira, MotoGP rider from the Trackhouse team, and MotoGP legend Loris Capirossi won. And it was the rider from the Portuguese Trackhouse team who set the record lap, with a time of 1’45”467.
